All arrangements for the reception ceremony were complete. The guests had arrived. Bismillah's shehnai was playing sweet melodies in the pandal. But the bride and groom were nowhere to be seen. Where had they gone? Due to IndiGo's flight disruptions, they could no longer attend the reception ceremony. Such was the incident that occurred in Bhubaneswar. However, there's also a twist to the story. Just as they couldn't be present due to technology "acting up," they attended virtually thanks to technology itself. It was quite a sight to behold.

The groom, Sangam Das's home lives in Hubli, Karnataka. He is a software engineer by profession and works in Bengaluru. The bride, Medha Kshirasagar, lives in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. She is also an engineer. They tied the knot on November 23. It was decided that the reception would be held at the groom's house on December 3. Accordingly, they booked IndiGo flight tickets to Karnataka on December 2.

Medha and Sangam reached the airport at the scheduled time. But then disaster struck. Flight after flight got cancelled. What would they do? They didn't panic. They had one day in hand. They returned home. The next day, December 3, they went to the airport again. But this time it seemed like there was a spree of flight cancellations. With dejected faces, they sat down at the airport itself. Their expressions were gloomy. Calls kept coming from home, "How much longer?" The auspicious time was passing by.

They revealed everything. The family members remained stunned for a while. Then began a different kind of arrangement. They dressed up as a bride and groom right there in Bhubaneswar. The family in Karnataka joined virtually. Relatives welcomed them, but virtually. In this manner, they completed all the rituals and ceremonies of the reception. When this incident became public, many said, "We witnessed both the good and bad sides of technology together."
