Marc Travels, a well-known motorcycle travel vlogger exploring India, has once again fallen sick during his journey through Uttar Pradesh. In his latest Instagram update, Marc shared that he suddenly began feeling unwell while travelling and believes he suffered food poisoning, as he ended up vomiting on the road.
He mentioned that this isn’t the first time something like this has happened to him in the region. Two years ago, during his visit to Varanasi, he had a similar bout of food poisoning. Since he is currently travelling close to Varanasi again, Marc hinted that maybe the water or general conditions might have caused the recurring issue.

In his video, Marc said, “Just had a little vomit, and now I feel much better, we can do another 230 KM, last time I had food poisoning, was Varanasi, two years ago, although we are very close to Varanasi.I don’t know maybe something in the water” Despite falling sick, he seemed determined to continue his journey.
Marc was travelling with a co-traveller, whom he asked about her condition. She replied sarcastically, saying, “I feel fantastic!” while also adding that her van was getting hot, showing that the journey had turned challenging for both of them.
Netizens share concerns
As soon as the update was posted, netizens rushed to share their concern. Many warned Marc against eating roadside food while travelling long distances. One user wrote, “Brother you won't be able to tolerate it please don't have roadside stuff while travelling.” Another person, identifying himself as a Varanasi local, commented on hygiene issues: “Bro I'm from Varanasi and its true people follow poor food hygiene and lack civic sense. In north if u wanna eat safe at any restaurant or local dinner just order ‘dal fry or dal tadka and roti’.”
Another user added a similar warning: “Don’t eat road side stalls. Same experience I also have when I was newly on long rides so plsss point it don’t eat road side.”
