Despite the early arrival of the monsoon across the country, South Bengal continues to grapple with uncomfortable weather. The weather department has reported that a well-marked low-pressure area has formed over the southwest Bay of Bengal. Under its influence, the southwest monsoon winds have become active, contributing to a steady rise in moisture levels and heat discomfort across the region.
The department has indicated that while some districts in South Bengal may receive scattered rainfall, it is unlikely to bring any significant relief from the prevailing conditions. In contrast, North Bengal is expected to witness heavier spells in the coming days.
