Kolkata Metro Railway has warned people about a fake recruitment advertisement spreading on social media. The post, titled ‘Kolkata Metro-Mega Recruitment 2026’, has been circulating since April 27 and is targeting people looking for government jobs.
In an official statement, Metro authorities said that no such recruitment notice has been released. They called the advertisement “fake and deceptive” and said it is meant to mislead and cheat people.
Fake recruitment alert and official clarification
As per PTI reports, Metro Railway authorities have said the circulating advertisement is not real. They explained that all official recruitment notices are shared only on authorised government websites. The viral post has no link with the organisation and is spreading confusion among job seekers.
Officials have asked people to stay alert and not trust such posts without checking properly. They warned that depending on unofficial sources can lead to misinformation and possible risks.
