The release of a new batch of secret documents from notorious sexual offender Jeffrey Epstein has created a global uproar. The 'explosive' 29,000-page documents published on Tuesday repeatedly mention American President Donald Trump's name.
The documents clearly show that Trump travelled several times on Epstein's private jet, which people call the 'Lolita Express'. There are even indications that young women who were victims of Epstein's lust accompanied them on these trips. However, the US Justice Department (DOJ) is actively trying to shield Trump. The DOJ has clearly stated that the allegations against Trump are 'false and baseless'.
On this day, the DOJ stated on social media, "The Department of Justice has officially released nearly 30,000 more pages of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein.
Some of these documents contain untrue and sensationalist claims made against President Trump that were submitted to the FBI right before the 2020 election. To be clear: the claims are unfounded and false, and if they had a shred of credibility, they certainly would have been weaponised against President Trump already.
Nevertheless, out of our commitment to the law and transparency, the DOJ is releasing these documents with the legally required protections for Epstein’s victims."
No direct evidence of any crime against Trump was found. Along with this, the DOJ claims that the allegations against him are politically motivated. However, Trump's discomfort over the Epstein files has reached its peak even within his own Republican Party.
He had tried to suppress these documents for the past few months. But facing fierce rebellion from a section of the Republican Party, he was essentially forced to sign the law regarding the release of these documents. Even after the documents came to light, this criticism has not stopped.

Georgia Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (MTG) was once a staunch Trump supporter. However, she has been engaged in intense conflict with Trump over the past few months regarding the release of the Jeffrey Epstein files.
After the new Epstein files came to light on Tuesday, MTG wrote on social media, "This is horrifying. Trump called me a traitor for fighting him to release the Epstein files and standing with women who were raped, jailed in stalls, and trafficked to men.
Only evil people would hide this and protect those who participated.
I pray for these women."
On one hand, the administration's desperate attempt to give Trump a 'clean chit', and on the other hand, this division within the Republican Party— all combined, American politics is now turbulent over the Epstein files.
