US President Donald Trump, during the State of the Union address on Tuesday, announced that he plans to confer the Presidential Medal of Freedom on USA men’s hockey goaltender Connor Hellebuyck in recognition of his gold medal-winning performance.
Hellebuyck, who hails from Commerce, Michigan, was among the members of the gold medal-winning squad present at the State of the Union address.
