A 37-year-old software professional died after allegedly jumping from the sixth floor of an apartment building in Hyderabad’s Miyapur area while carrying her six-month-old daughter in her arms.
The incident occurred on Friday afternoon, with police confirming that the infant survived the fall and is undergoing treatment at a hospital. According to officials, the child suffered only minor injuries and is reported to be stable.

The deceased has been identified as Isha Sahu, a native of Madhya Pradesh who was working in the software sector in Hyderabad.
Police said she lived in the apartment complex with her husband, who is also employed in the technology industry, and their two daughters. Investigators said the incident was reported at around 3.45 pm. Family members were reportedly present inside the apartment when it happened.

The infant escaped serious injury after landing on a protective fence structure along the apartment boundary before reaching the ground.
