Vodafone-Idea's share price jumped during Friday's trading session. The country's telecom company's share price rose 8.7 percent on the Bombay Stock Exchange to ₹12.51. At Thursday's market close, the company's share price was ₹11.50.
The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has provided some relief to VI regarding the settlement of Adjusted Gross Revenue (AGR) dues.
Experts believe that Vodafone's share price has increased significantly due to this development. However, like the past four days, Sensex and Nifty50 have been losing points since morning.

It has received 15 years to settle AGR-related dues from the 2006-2007 financial year to the 2018-2019 financial year. During this period, Vodafone will have to pay the outstanding AGR (principal, interest, penalty and interest on penalty).
From March 2026 to March 2031, a maximum of ₹124 crore will have to be paid annually.
From March 2032 to March 2035, ₹100 crore will have to be paid annually.
From March 2026 to March 2041, Vodafone can pay the remaining amount in installments.

Additionally, DoT has announced the formation of a committee to reassess AGR liabilities. However, this revised amount will be applicable from March 2036 onwards.
Despite the stock market remaining volatile over the past month, Vodafone Idea's share price has increased by 11.76 percent. This has brought relief to the company's shareholders. Vodafone's price has increased by more than 27 percent in the past three months. This growth has been 57 percent in the last 6 months.
