Akshaye Khanna has been in the news for several weeks now, due to the line of events associated with him. From earning praise for his performance as Rahman Dakait in Dhurandhar to hitting the headlines following reports of his exit from Drishyam 3, his name has again resurfaced following rumours related to the song Ghar Kab Aaoge from Border 2.
Viral claims around Ghar Kab Aaoge
The song Ghar Kab Aaoge was released this Friday, featuring Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty, and others. Shortly after its release, several pictures have surfaced on social media of Akshaye Khanna making an appearance in the song. And the visuals soon went viral, where fans speculated whether he would be part of the film or not.

As per a report by Free Press Journal, those viral images were fake. Reports clarify that Akshaye Khanna is not part of the particular song in which he had 'appeared'. The pictures doing the rounds are either AI-created or photoshopped. The confusion reportedly happened because another actor in the song resembled Akshaye, especially with a similar half-bald look.
Is Akshaye Khanna part of Border 2?
Although Akshaye Khanna has not been seen in the Border 2 teaser or the song, it has been said that he will make a cameo in the movie, according to multiple reports, although not verified. As per the information available, Free Press Journal reported that the actor is supposed to play the role of 2nd Lieutenant Dharamvir Singh Bhakhri. No official visuals of the same have been revealed yet.

Border 2 cast and release date
Border 2 has an extended ensemble cast led by Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty. Mona Singh, Sonam Bajwa, Anya Singh, and Medha Rana are among the female leads of the film. Additionally, it is reported that a cameo role will be essayed by Suniel Shetty.
The film's theatrical release is scheduled for January 23, 2026. Border 2 will be hitting screens on the Republic Day weekend, keeping the scale and timing in mind.
