Bollywood actor Tara Sutaria found herself at the centre of online criticism after a clip from singer AP Dhillon’s Mumbai concert went viral. The video showed Tara joining Dhillon on stage during their song Thodi Si Daaru, where the singer hugged and kissed her while performing.
Another clip circulating online showed Tara’s boyfriend, Veer Pahariya, watching the performance from the audience. Social media users speculated that Veer appeared uncomfortable, with many claiming he looked upset or jealous during the moment.
Orry posts footage contradicting viral claims
On Tuesday, social media personality Orry shared a video on Instagram that he said showed Veer’s actual reaction during the concert. The clip shows Veer dancing to the music and asking Orry to record Tara’s performance on stage.
Orry captioned the video, “What the media won’t show you. So I will, real-time footage.”
Veer and Tara later reposted the same video on their Instagram Stories with the caption, “The Truth!!”
The footage appeared to contradict claims that Veer was upset during the performance.
Apart from Orry’s post, Tara also shared a separate video by a social media influencer alleging that content creators had been circulated specific captions meant to portray her negatively. Tara posted screenshots of an alleged PDF containing suggested captions and wrote that the material was aimed at damaging her image, relationship, and career.
How the controversy began
The controversy began after visuals from AP Dhillon’s concert showed Tara wrapping her arms around the singer’s shoulders as part of the performance. While many viewers saw it as a stage moment, others interpreted Veer’s presence in the audience as awkward or tense.

Veer later clarified through social media that the clip being circulated did not reflect his reaction to Tara’s performance. Tara also addressed the trolling by continuing to share videos and posts countering the narrative.
Tara and Veer made their relationship public in August this year through Instagram posts. Since then, the couple have frequently shared photos together and have been seen travelling and attending events as a pair.
