Warner Bros is developing a new feature film which is set in the universe of Game of Thrones. According to reports, they are expanding the world created by George R.R Martin. The project will mainly focus on the legendary story of Aegon I Targaryen and his historic subjugation of Westeros.
The studio reportedly has brought on writer Beau Willimon, who is widely known for his work on Andor and House of Cards, to develop the script. If made, the project would become the first big screen adaptations from George R.R Martin's song A song of Ice and Fire universe, which has so far inspired several television series.
Aegon's story of subjugation to take centre stage
The film is expected to mainly focus on the legendary campaign through which Aegon I Targaryen took over much of Westeros. According to the lore, Aegon arrived on the continent with his sister-wives and three formidable dragons to alter the balance of power among the rival kingdoms.

The film would be set around 300 years before the events of Game of Thrones and roughly 120 years before the timeline explored in House of the Dragon.
Meanwhile, HBO continues to expand its franchise with another banger series, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms m, which is currently under development along with several other reported projects within the same universe.
