Indian fans of Christopher Nolan have a reason to celebrate. The Oscar-winning filmmaker is set to visit the country for the premiere of his upcoming mythological epic, The Odyssey, marking the first time a Nolan film will have an official premiere in India.
Mumbai joins global premiere tour
Universal Pictures International announced on Wednesday that Mumbai has been selected as one of the four cities on The Odyssey's global promotional tour. The city joins London, Paris and New York as premiere destinations for the highly anticipated film, per a report by Hindustan Times.
Nolan will attend the event along with producer Emma Thomas and actors Matt Damon and Tom Holland. The premiere will be held at PVR Icon IMAX at Phoenix Palladium Mall in Mumbai. While the venue has been confirmed, the exact date of the event is yet to be announced, reported HT.

Nolan's most demanding project yet
Earlier this month, Damon spoke about the scale of the production during an interview at the California Adopt-A-Pet Day event.
“It was by far the hardest movie I've ever made. Chris likes to shoot everything real. So there's no kind of green screen, no faking it, no kind of studio stuff,” the actor said.
Known for relying on practical effects, Nolan once again used real locations and minimal visual effects for the film. The Odyssey is also the first movie to be shot entirely with IMAX cameras and is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on July 17.
