Sauraseni Mitra is set to return to Bollywood once again. Although she has previously appeared in a Hindi web series, this time the actress is making her full-fledged Bollywood debut in a film produced by Manish Malhotra’s production house. Sauraseni expressed her excitement and gratitude for the opportunity. She will be seen in Saali Mohabbat, directed by Tisca Chopra, where she plays a significant role alongside Radhika Apte, Anurag Kashyap, Divyenndu Sharma, and Anshuman Pushkar.
Speaking about what she learned from her celebrated co-stars, she said, “I have learned so much. I really admire Radhika Apte. Her dedication to her craft is incredibly inspiring. I liked Anshuman a lot in Jamtara and Delhi Crime. And what can I even say about Anurag sir? When you work with such skilled and powerful actors, the work naturally becomes better. I am very grateful to the entire team.”
For the past few years, Sauraseni has also been seen attending Manish Malhotra’s Diwali parties. Her connection with the renowned designer deepened through this film. According to her, the initial proposal for the project came directly from Manish. From there, discussions progressed steadily.

She also shared how she first came to Malhotra’s attention. “I did a Hindi web series called Taj, and it received a lot of appreciation. Manish Malhotra watched it as well and liked my performance. He then contacted the series’ director, Abhimanyu Singh, to get my number. He called me, praised my work, and the very next day offered me a film. There was no way I could refuse. After that, I did a basic screen test, and soon the shoot began,” she said.
As for whether she plans to shift permanently to Mumbai, Sauraseni clarified, “There are no such plans at the moment. I want to work in both industries. I will go wherever good work takes me. Right now, I have no intention of leaving Kolkata or my home.”
