According to a Hindustan Times report, DCP Dikshit Gedam of Zone 9 confirmed KRK's arrest, informing that the actor fired the shots while cleaning the firearm. The police said that the weapon has been seized and legal paperwork was underway.
The incident
The incident dates back to January 18 when two bullets were fired in Oshiwara's Nalanda Society. While one bullet was found from a second floor flat belonging to a writer-director, another one was recovered from the fourth floor, a model's residence. However, no one was injured in the incident.
Investigation
An 18-member team from the Oshiwara Police Station, led by senior inspector Sanjay Chavan, worked with several crime branch teams to investigate the case.
While the CCTV footage provided no clues initially. forensic analysis later suggested that the bullets may have come from KRK's bungalow. Subsequently, investigators shifted their focus on him as the main suspect.
A case has been registered against the actor under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Arms Act, an official informed according to a report by The Hindu.
