A female student at a private university in Chhattisgarh's Raigarh district died mysteriously. Her name was Prinsi Kumari (20). She was a resident of Jamshedpur in Jharkhand. She was studying computer science engineering in Raigarh. The second-year student lived in the university hostel adjacent to the college. On Saturday night, the student's hanging body was recovered from her room in the hostel. Police recovered her body and sent it for post-mortem. On Sunday, after the post-mortem, the body was handed over to the family. A 'suicide note' was recovered from the student's room. It read, 'I am sorry for not being able to fulfill your expectations, Mom and Dad.' It is initially believed that she committed suicide due to academic pressure. However, it is also being investigated whether there are any other reasons behind the student's death. Police say the cause of death will become clear once the post-mortem report is received.

It is initially known that along with the second year, the student also had to take those exams due to 'backlog' in the first year. And because of that, she was under mental pressure. After 8:30 PM on Saturday night, family members could not contact her over the phone. Fearing something bad might happen, Prinsi's family members contacted the hostel warden. The warden went to Prinsi's room door and saw that it was closed from the inside. Even after calling many times, there was no response. When they peeked through the window, they saw the student's body hanging inside the room. After that, the police were informed. Investigators went and recovered the body.
Police say that recently Prinsi had requested her family to pay about one lakh rupees as semester fees. Police suspect that guilt was working within Prinsi due to poor results in the first semester and having to pay a huge amount as fees on top of that. Police say there will be a complete investigation of the entire incident.
