A leopard entered a residential area. Not only did it come into the densely populated locality, but the leopard actually entered a person's house. Seven people were injured in the attack. After that, the wild animal tried to climb onto the roof of the house. However, forest department officials were ultimately able to capture the leopard. This incident occurred in Nagpur.

According to forest department sources, the leopard entered Shivnagar in the Pardi area of Nagpur city on Wednesday morning. Panic spread among residents when they saw the leopard enter the densely populated area at seven in the morning.

Honorary Wildlife Warden Ajinkya Bhatkar informed that around 7:30 AM, after receiving news of the leopard entering a person's house, senior forest department officials went to the location. The process to capture it began at 9:30 AM. The leopard was caught after nearly an hour of effort. It was then tranquillised and sent to a medical centre.

However, before being captured, the three-year-old leopard also tried to climb onto the roof of that house. A video of the leopard attempting to climb the roof is now going viral on social media.

Officials reported that the leopard injured seven people before being captured. The injured were sent to the hospital. Maharashtra Forest Minister Ganesh Naik visited the injured. He also stated that the condition of the injured is now stable. He assured that attention will be given to preventing such incidents in the future. However, the Maharashtra Forest Minister also informed that if wild animals come into residential areas for any reason, forest department officials will alert residents.

However, the reason why leopards are coming into residential areas is still not clear.
