A Pakistani fishing boat was detained in Indian waters. Nine Pakistani nationals have been arrested. On Thursday, the Indian Coast Guard announced that the boat was detained near the International Maritime Boundary Line. It has been brought to Porbandar.
In an X post, Gujarat Defence PRO Wing Commander Abhishek Kumar Tiwari wrote, "In a swift and precise night operation, an @IndiaCoastGuard Ship whilst on patrol in #Arabian sea sighted a #Pakistani Fishing Boat inside #Indian waters near the International Maritime Boundary Line on 14 Jan 26."

He further informed that when asked to stop, the boat tried to enter Pakistani waters. He wrote, "the #ICG Ship intercepted and boarded the boat in Indian waters. A total of 09 crew were found in the #Pakistani boat, AL-MADINA."
The detained Pakistani nationals are being interrogated. It has been learned that multiple agencies are conducting the interrogation. The Gujarat Defence PRO has informed that the Indian Coast Guard is always active in maintaining security in Indian waters.
