Khalid’s arrest and earlier bail
Khalid was taken into custody in September 2020 and booked under the UAPA for charges including criminal conspiracy, rioting, and unlawful assembly. He was previously granted a week-long interim bail in December 2024 to attend his cousin’s wedding. On Wednesday, the Supreme Court reserved its order on the regular bail petitions filed by Khalid and five others accused in the Delhi riots case.
