Officials said they received intelligence late on Saturday night that two unidentified terrorists had visited the house of a local named Mangtu Ram, in the aforementioned area, around 6:30 PM, and had food there. Security forces were immediately rushed to the area, but the suspects had fled by the time they arrived.

Following this, forces sealed off the nearby forest belt and launched a large-scale combing operation from several directions early on Sunday to track down and neutralise the terrorists, TOI reported.
