BPSC AEDO exam postponed due to noticeable issues; 10 Lakh aspirants to appear

AEDO stands for Assistant Education Development Officer, which has been postponed by BPSC due to some noticeable issues. This exam was going to be held from January 10th to January 16th, where more than 10 lakh aspirants were about to give the exam, but unfortunately, it got postponed, leaving each and every student disappointed with the Bihar government.

The exam postponed

The AEDO exam to be held by the BPSC (Bihar Public Service Commission) has been rescheduled till other new dates are scheduled. According to the controller of Examinations, Rajesh Kumar Singh, the postponement has been decided because of unavoidable situations. This exam was previously scheduled to take place between January 10 and January 16, but it will be held on a different scheduled day.

10 lakh aspirants

Moreover, over 10 lakh aspirants are likely to attend this BPSC AEDO exam. The postponement news became a sensation for every candidate who was going to be a part of this exam. After the news came out, a notice was issued by the commission, which said that the new dates and timetable of the exam or other details will be announced through the official website of BPSC.

The Commission also requested that all the interested candidates and other people not believe in any kind of rumours or any third-party updates that have already been spread on the internet. This notice is crucial, especially for aspirants, because of their hectic and dedicated preparation for the exams for a long time.

About BPSC candidates' seats

Total posts: 935 Assistant Education Development Officer (AEDO) positions available.

These 935 seats are divided across categories like Unreserved (UR), EWS, SC, ST, EBC, BC, and BC‑Women.

Women's reservation: 319 seats are reserved for women candidates.

This means 935 candidates can ultimately be selected (one candidate per seat) in this recruitment.

To give perspective on competition: nearly 9.7–9.8 lakh people applied, which is about 1000 applicants per seat! ultimately be selected (one candidate per seat) in this recruitment.
