Kia has finally brought the Kia Seltos SUV to the Indian market. Kia has introduced the second-generation Seltos six years after its debut. The Seltos helped Kia in building the brand’s presence and popularity in the Indian market.
Prices and variants
Kia will open the bookings for the Celsos from December 11. The booking amount is decided at Rs 25,000. The interested customers have the option of booking it online or by visiting the nearest dealership. The prices are expected to be announced on January 2, 2026, kicking off the customer delivery from mid-January. The lineup of the variants stays similar to the previous generation, with the Tech line, the GT line, and the X-line trims.
The Tech line is the heart of the lineup, with the variants of HTE, HTE(O), HTK, HTK(O), HTX, and HTX(A). The GT-line sits just above it, offering two versions of GTX and GTX(A). This version has a richer equipment list blended with sportier styling cues. The X-line is characterised by a darker and more aggressive aesthetic, which is exclusive to the GT Line trims.

Engine and power
The Celtos is based on the new K3 platform, staying similar to the previous generation in terms of mechanics. The 2026 Kia Celtos SUV offers three engine options: the first one comes with a 1.5-litre NA petrol engine, which would produce 115hp/144 Nm of power. This variant comes with a 6-speed MT or CVT gearbox. The next option comes with a 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine, which produces 160hp/253 Nm of power, and is provided with an IMT or 7-speed DCT. The third option comes with a 1.5-liter turbo diesel engine, which would produce 116hp/250 Nm of power, provided with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic. The Kia Celtos 2026 has a longer, wider, taller wheelbase in comparison to the old model and measures 4,460 mm in length and has a wheelbase of 2,690 mm and 1,830 mm in width and 1,635 mm in height.

The 2026 Kia Celtos gets ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a powered driver seat with memory, rear sunshades, dual-tone leatherette upholstery, a 360-degree camera, OTA updates, connected-car functions, and Level 2 ADAS.
The safety kit includes six airbags, ESC, all-wheel disc brakes, hill assist, ISOFIX mounts, tyre pressure monitoring, and standard rearview mirrors. The car also includes ambient lighting and an eight-speaker Bose audio system.
