As winter arrives, the use of coriander leaves in food increases. A couple of bunches are enough to last 10 days. But the problem is that the leaves don’t stay fresh for long. Within two days, they dry out and develop a dark tint. Even when kept in the refrigerator, coriander does not remain fresh. But you cannot throw away coriander you’ve paid for. So what should you do? How can you keep coriander fresh?
How to keep coriander leaves fresh for a long time?
Keep them in a glass
Take a glass or any long container and fill it halfway with water. Place the coriander with its stems submerged in the water. Keep the glass in the refrigerator. Change the water every 2–3 days. This helps the coriander stay fresh for many days.

Paper tissue
During winter, vegetables or cooked food don’t spoil quickly. But keeping coriander fresh for long is quite challenging. Cut off the root portion of the coriander. Then wrap the leaves in paper tissue or newspaper. The paper will absorb extra moisture and keep the coriander fresh for more days.
Ziplock bag
Keeping ziplock bags at home is helpful for storing vegetables. You can store chopped vegetables in them as well. Cut off the root of the coriander and place the leaves inside a ziplock bag. You can keep the bag in the refrigerator. You can also wrap the coriander in paper before placing it in the ziplock bag.

Keep coriander fresh even without a refrigerator
In winter, it is possible to store vegetables even without refrigeration. Those who don’t have a fridge can try this method. Just as you keep fresh flowers in a vase at home, follow the same rule here. Take a glass and fill it halfway or less with water. Place the coriander with its stems inside the glass. You can keep it in a corner of the kitchen. Before doing this, make sure the coriander and its stems are cleaned properly.
