The last T20I series for India before the 2026 T20 World Cup started on Wednesday evening. Indian management will surely look to make the most of it after a bad patch in the ODIs. The Indian T20I side is one of the best in the world and is also ranked at number one in the ICC rankings.
The defending champions will try to take this series as a last-minute preparation, and it will be the best chance for the management to assess the bench strength. In the pre-match press conference, the Indian team captain Surya Kumar Yadav had confirmed that Ishan Kishan will make his comeback at number three in place of Tilak Varma, who will miss the first three matches of this series.

India will also try to find their best combination. In the first match Indian team went with five proper bowlers, which included Bumrah, Axar Patel, Arshdeep Singh, Varun Chakravarthy, and Hardik Pandya. Shivam Dube will be there as India’s sixth bowling option. Kuldeep Yadav did not get a place in the first match, which showed the management wanted to go with a longer batting lineup.
Eyes will be on Rinku Singh
As reports are coming that Washington Sundar will miss the World Cup due to his injury, game time for Rinku Singh will be important for the Uttar Pradesh captain. He has also got a place in the playing XI on the match day, and he is coming after an outstanding run in the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
