Sanju Samson's relationship with the Rajasthan Royals had been deteriorating for the past two seasons. The whispers that were circulating have now proven to be true. As a result, Sanju has severed his long-standing relationship and joined the Chennai Super Kings. He will not get the captaincy there. However, with Sanju leaving Rajasthan, discussions have begun about who will be the next captain. In this regard, the names of Ravindra Jadeja and Riyan Parag are being floated around. Although Riyan captained in Sanju's absence, Jadeja is the contender to become captain this time. In this situation, Riyan Parag has spoken out about the captaincy.

Riyan Parag captained in a few matches last season, but the team's performance under his leadership was disappointing. However, like in previous years, he will play an important role this year as well. Whether he will be captain for the full term, only time will tell.

Who will be Rajasthan's captain?

Riyan Parag said in an interview with The Hindu, 'Manoj sir (Manoj Badale) has said that the decision about captaincy will be taken after the auction. I don't want to think about it right now. If the team management thinks that I am the right player for captaincy, then I am ready to take this responsibility. If they think that I am fine just as a player, then I am prepared for that too.'

What does Riyan say about his relationship with Sanju?

About his relationship with Sanju Samson, Riyan Parag said, 'I don't want to think that Sanju Samson is no longer in the team, because thinking about it makes me feel bad. I was always very close to Sanju. He never made me feel that I was just a 17 or 18-year-old boy from Assam.'

According to reports, Ravindra Jadeja had clarified his position before joining Rajasthan Royals regarding captaincy. He indicated that he wants to be the captain of Rajasthan Royals. Now it remains to be seen what Rajasthan's final decision will be.
