India's opening batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal had to be hospitalised during the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy match. He was admitted to the hospital after the match against Rajasthan at Pune MCA Stadium on Tuesday, December 16. The decision to send him to the hospital was made due to stomach pain.

According to a report published in the Indian Express, this Mumbai team opener has developed gastroenteritis. Doctors have advised him to rest. After the match, Yashasvi suddenly started experiencing stomach pain. Initially, the severity of the pain was not understood, but later it began to increase. He was then admitted to a local private hospital. His ultrasound and CT scan were conducted. He has been given medication and advised to rest. However, the duration of this rest is not known, so it is not certain when he will return to the field. Mumbai's next match in the Vijay Hazare Trophy is against Sikkim on December 24. His chances of playing there are considered low. The BCCI has not issued any official statement on this matter.

Yashasvi is currently on a break from the national team. After playing the ODI and Test series, he is playing domestic cricket. He has been seen in good rhythm in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Despite scoring 15 runs against Rajasthan, he had earlier scored 101 runs against Haryana. In the ODI, he played an unbeaten innings of 116 runs in the third match against South Africa.

Since he is not a regular in the T20 team wearing the country's jersey, his participation in the World Cup is not certain. It is believed that he can return before India's next ODI series in January next year.
