The most important initiative of the Telangana Global Summit is the Women’s Telangana FIFA-AIFF Football Academy. The project shall be a collaboration between the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) and the All India Football Federation (AIFF). The facility will help the footballers at all levels to work on their game and adapt to the standards of football that have been followed in the countries of Europe and America. FIFA’s vision of Indian Football

The launching of this academy shows FIFA’s commitment towards helping India through its Talent Development Scheme (TDS). TDS is a global strategy that aims to provide every talented player a clear route to elite football. The MoU was signed between the AIFF and the Telangana Government back in August. It is an effort to lay the foundation to represent India as a strong contender on the map of global football. The new academies will expand upon the success of the existing FIFA Talent Academy for girls, which was set up earlier in Hyderabad.

The world-class facilities provided in the academy

According to Newsmeter, the AIFF, in collaboration with FIFA, will look over several aspects, like operations, technical design, talent scouting, and the curriculum, involving rigorous training so that the players can reach the global standards. The academy will be responsible for the holistic development of the players. The academy will give year-round, high-performance residential training to the selected young players. It is a comprehensive program that will look after skill development, along with elements that will help the prodigy reach their highest potential, such as formal education, nutrition, medical care, and mental health. The AIFF is actively recruiting staff, which includes an Education Coordinator.
