Barcelona and big teams like Bayern Munich secured victories in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday. However, Atalanta surprised by defeating Chelsea. Liverpool also returned to winning ways. Wednesday's schedule featured the main attraction of a battle between two powerful clubs. Real Madrid faced Manchester City at their home ground, Santiago Bernabéu. Real has been unable to secure a victory in three consecutive La Liga matches. On the other hand, Manchester City had lost their last Champions League match against Leverkusen. So both teams were desperate to return to form on Wednesday night. Teams like Arsenal and PSG also took the field in other matches.

Which other matches were worth watching on Wednesday?

Real will be without several star footballers due to injury problems. The list includes defenders like Dani Carvajal, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Éder Militão, and Dean Huijsen. Mbappé did not train with the team on Tuesday. So Real was practically under pressure before facing Manchester City.
