The ceasefire agreement exists only on paper. There are no signs that the conflict between Israel and Gaza is stopping. Meanwhile, the Israel Defence Forces have discovered a secret Hamas tunnel in Gaza. On Thursday, the Israel Defence Force (IDF) announced this tunnel through an X post. They claim the tunnel is 7 kilometres long, 25 feet deep and contains approximately 80 secret chambers inside.
In 2014, Hamas killed Israeli Lieutenant Hadar Goldin in the Gaza Strip. Nearly 11 years later, in early November 2025, the Israeli Defence Forces found Goldin's remains from that same location. It was during an operation at that site on Thursday that this tunnel was discovered.

In an X post, the Israeli Defence Forces stated that the 7-kilometre-long tunnel runs beneath Rafah city. The tunnel passes under Palestinian refugee camps created by the United Nations, children's schools, hospitals and mosques. Hamas's top local leaders, including Mohammad Shabana and Mohammad Shinwar, would sit inside this tunnel to plan war. The IDF also claims that weapons were supplied and stored through the tunnel.
In another post, the IDF claims that in July, the IDF conducted an operation in Gaza to retrieve Lieutenant Goldin's body. At that time, they arrested a top Hamas leader named Marwan al Hams on charges of murder. Since then, the IDF has been conducting operations in that area and finally recovered Goldin's remains.
