After Venezuela, America is now in conflict with another Latin American country. Trump had threatened military action against Colombia. To which the Colombian President Gustavo Petro responded with strong language. Gustavo has threatened to take up arms in retaliation if America launches a military operation.
Recently, warning Colombia, Trump had claimed that Gustavo Petro manufactures cocaine and smuggles it into America. A war of words has been going on between the two heads of state for several days.

Meanwhile, after Trump's attack, when journalists asked him whether America would launch a military operation, Trump said he considered that a good proposal. Meanwhile, an attack was carried out in Venezuela, and the country's president and his wife were arrested and brought to America.
Amid all of this, Colombian President Gustavo Petro has spoken out. He is the face of Colombia's left-wing politics and a former member of the M-19 guerrilla force. On his X handle, he wrote, 'I swore not to touch a weapon again since the 1989 Peace Pact, but for the Homeland I will take up arms again ...'
He has sternly warned that if a military operation is launched against Colombia, America will have to face the consequences. Pedro has strongly opposed the American military operation in Venezuela. He has claimed this incident is an attack on sovereignty.

Trump had accused the Venezuelan president of drug trafficking. He has targeted the Colombian president with the same accusation. The Trump administration has also imposed sanctions on Pedro and his family.
