A prominent medical expert has recently claimed that US President Donald Trump suffered a stroke several months ago but the news has been kept away from public purview.

According to a report by The Daily Beast on January 15, Professor Bruce Davidson of Washington State University's Elson S Floyd College of Medicine made the revelation claiming that the 79-year-old President suffered the stroke "six months ago ore more".

The professor laid out "lines of evidence supportive" of his assertion.

The 'evidence'

In a podcast 'The Court of History', the professor said, "I think his stroke was on the left side of the brain, which controls the right side of the body."

"I think the stroke was six months ago or more, earlier in 2025," he added. "There are videos of him shuffling his feet, which is not what we'd seen previously when he was striding on the golf course. We've seen him holding his right hand cradled in his left. Earlier in 2025, he was garbling words, which he hadn't done before and which he's improved upon more recently," Davidson claimed.

Highlighting symptoms of hypersomnolence, the professor pointed towards Trump's alleged "marked episodes of excessive daytime sleepiness", which he claimed was common among stroke patients.

Now, Trump can be seen appearing to nod off in public view, including White House events.

Recently, Trump could be seen resting his eyes as Cabinet officials schooled him about the importance of whole milk.

Davidson also suggested that the video of Trump carefully coming down the steps of Air Force One while holding onto the banister with his left hand, even though he is right-handed, indicates he may have had a stroke on the left side of the brain.

Trump has had 'significant recovery'

Davidson stated that although he believes Trump experienced a stroke in 2025, he believes the US President has had "significant recovery" since then based on his improvement in speech and decrease in the amount of foot shuffling.

While the White House physicians have not made any public announcements concerning whether or not Trump had a stroke during 2025, however, physicians did announce in 2025 that Trump was diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency (CVI), which can result in excess blood pooling in the lower extremities.

While CVI is not fatal, it can create ailments such as swollen ankles. Also, Trump has been seen publicly several times with bruises on his hands with the explanation from the White House that it may be due to Trump's above-average use of aspirin and frequent handshaking.

White House says...

According to the report by The Daily Beast, White House Secretary Karoline Leavitt said, "As the President’s physician, Dr Sean Barbabella, has made clear time and again—and as the American people see with their own eyes every single day—President Trump remains in excellent overall health."

She claimed that all the narratives about Trump's health were fake and precisely the reason behind America's deteriorating faith in media which has "fallen to a new all-time low".

In a second statement from the White House, Leavitt said: "These allegations are absolute bulls--t and perhaps even slanderous. The individual making this false claim is a left-wing nut job and Democrat activist."
