On the fateful morning of Christmas eve, Texas teenager Camila Mendoza Olmos went on for a regular walk and five days later, she is yet to return home.
Search for the 19-year-old girl entered day 5 on December 29 with her friends, family and the police actively looking for Olmos.
On Monday, Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar informed that the teenager left her phone back at home which was very "unlikely of her". He added that Olmos led an "active lifestyle" and they were working round-the-clock on the case.
However, investigators are also of the view that the girl walked away on her own after receiving video footage from the neighbours. In a new dashcam footage, authorities found an individual walking along Wildhorse Parkway around 7 am, precisely the time Olmos disappeared. Although the cops are not completely sure that it's her but said that the clothing matched what the teen was last seen in.

Exact missing details
On December 24, at around 6.58 am, Olmos left from her home on 1100 block of Caspian Spring, northwest Bexar County. The day was issued a "clear forecast" by BCSO that morning.
In the video footage, an individual (likely Olmos) can be seen looking for something inside her vehicle and then walking away on foot.
She was seen wearing baby blue pajama shorts, a black hoodie and white shoes. The teen has been described as 5 foot 4 inches and about 110 pounds with brown eyes and hair.
Was she battling depression?
The Sheriff mentioned that Olmos had gone through some "suicidal thoughts in the past". He, however, quickly added that the case needs to be probed from all angles and not narrowed down until they get solid evidences.
Olmos' mother told the police that her daughter usually goes out for a morning walk but tensions escalated when the girl did not return home after a reasonable amount of time. She also told the cops that her daughter "leads an active lifestyle and it was unusual of her to leave the mobile behind".
Communities come out for help
Several people and agencies have come out to help search for the missing girl. The FBI and department of Homeland Security have also joined the probe. The search is being narrowed down to the girl's neighbourhood and surrounding areas as of now.
Olmos' friends and kin have also set up a search station for her at Wildhorse HOA Sports Park, 9700 Mustang Gate, San Antonio, TX 78254.
Olmos is a student of The Alamo Colleges District. In a statement, the college said that they were "heartbroken" over the news.
The Youth Peace and Justice Foundation is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to Olmos' safe return.
