Massive barrage and interceptions
Ukraine's air force reported that it had intercepted 31 missiles and 636 drones over the past 24 hours, highlighting the scale of the coordinated attack.

Multiple regions affected
In Odesa, officials reported that seven people were killed and 11 injured after "several waves" of missile and drone strikes. The attacks caused widespread destruction, with fires breaking out across residential areas.
The central Dnipropetrovsk region also reported casualties. In the city of Dnipro, Governor Oleksandr Ganzha said two people were killed and 27 injured, with residential buildings seen engulfed in flames.
In Kyiv alone, at least 45 people were wounded, including emergency workers. Explosions shattered windows, damaged buildings and set vehicles on fire, as rescue teams worked to pull survivors from the rubble.

In the northeastern city of Kharkiv, a drone strike injured at least two civilians, including a 77-year-old woman.
Meanwhile, on the Russian side, authorities said two children aged five and 14 were killed in a Ukrainian drone strike in Tuapse, a Black Sea region.
