A senior Russian military officer was killed in a car bomb explosion on Monday. Russian military Lt. Gen. Fanil Sarvarov was killed in an explosion in southern Moscow. Investigators suspect Ukraine's involvement in this military officer's death. Earlier, allegations had been raised against Volodymyr Zelenskyy's government of targeting Vladimir Putin's associates one after another to weaken Russia. This is not the first time, because more than 15 senior Russian generals have been killed since the war with Ukraine began in 2022. This marks the third senior military officer's death this year.

Russia's Investigative Committee has informed that Lt. Gen. Fanil Sarvarov was the head of the operational training department of the Russian armed forces, BBC reported.
