Infosys partners with AWS to drive enterprise-level generative AI adoption

Infosys has partnered with Amazon Web Services to drive enterprise-wide adoption of generative AI, aiming to boost operational efficiency and accelerate innovation across key industries.

Infosys, the Indian information technology company, has announced a new agreement with Amazon Web Services (AWS). This agreement is reportedly for enterprise-level adoption of generative artificial intelligence. On Wednesday, January 7, Infosys announced the strategic partnership with AWS in a stock exchange filing.

The main objective of this strategic partnership between Infosys and Amazon Web Services is to manage the company's internal operations more efficiently while simultaneously creating opportunities for innovations for clients across various industries. Infosys has stated that this partnership will impact multiple sectors including manufacturing, telecom, financial services, and consumer goods.

Infosys has announced that it is bringing about an AI-driven transformation through the Infosys Topaz platform. This transformation is being implemented in crucial areas such as software development, human resources (HR), recruitment, sales, and vendor management. As a result, work speed will increase while the decision-making process will also become more accurate.

Regarding this partnership, Balakrishna D R, Executive Vice President of Infosys and Global Service Head of AI and Industries Vertical, said, "Together we are creating an AI-first ecosystem that will help organisations move forward on their next business transformation journey more quickly and precisely. The core purpose of this initiative is to strengthen employee capabilities, accelerate innovation, and create large-scale impact."

In the software development lifecycle (SDLC), Infosys Topaz and Amazon Q Developer together will be able to create automated documentation. Additionally, they will provide specific assistance in tasks such as code generation, debugging, testing, and legacy code modernisation. As a result, work efficiency will increase significantly while output will become more accurate.

Through this strategic partnership, Infosys will use advanced AI to simplify complex tasks, reduce project timelines, and improve employee work experience. Additionally, AWS's generative AI services are being utilised to provide cutting-edge solutions for clients across various industries.
