The extension has been granted to help students who were unable to complete the process within the earlier deadline due to personal or technical reasons.
What re-registration means for students?
Re-registration is mandatory for continuing students who wish to proceed to the next academic term. By following this process, learners can update their personal information, choose courses for the upcoming semester or year, and can pay the required programme fees.
The facility applies only to students already enrolled in IGNOU programmes and does not include fresh admissions.
University officials have advised students to complete the process well before the revised deadline to avoid last-minute issues related to payment or portal access.
IGNOU is one of the country’s largest open universities, offering undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma and certificate programmes through distance and online modes.
