The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued an advisory for candidates appearing for the Common University Entrance Test for Postgraduate programmes (CUET PG) 2026, reminding applicants that the registration window will close tomorrow on January 14, 2026.

In the advisory released on Saturday, the NTA urged candidates who have not yet completed their applications to do so before the deadline. Applicants have been advised to ensure that the online application form is submitted successfully and that the prescribed examination fee is paid within the stipulated time.

The agency clarified that only candidates who complete the fee payment will be treated as having submitted a valid application. Applicants have also been advised to download and retain the confirmation page for future reference. The NTA cautioned candidates to carefully verify all details before making the payment, noting that no changes will be permitted once the fee has been submitted.

Exam cities reduced, pattern unchanged

The NTA has earlier reduced the number of examination cities for CUET PG 2026. The total number of exam centres has been brought down from 312 to 292. Of these, the examination will be conducted in 272 cities across India and 16 centres abroad.

Despite the reduction in exam cities, no changes have been made to the examination pattern or the number of subjects. CUET PG 2026 will be conducted for 157 subjects, with each paper having a duration of 90 minutes.
