The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the Provisional Answer Key for the UGC NET December 2025 exam, along with the recorded responses of the exam conducted for the test takers. Candidates who appeared for the test can now access the answer key online and evaluate their performance.

Along with the provisional key, NTA has opened an objection window wherein candidates can object to any incorrect answer.

Objection window open till January 17

Objections will be entertained till January 17, 2026, 11:50 pm. To raise objections, candidates have to pay a non-refundable processing fee of ₹200 per question. Payment can be made through credit card, debit card, net banking, and LIPI.

Note that the payment must be completed; objections submitted without the processing fee will not be considered under any circumstances.

Review process and final answer key

A panel of subject experts would be appointed by NTA to judge all objections raised by candidates. In case any objection is found to be valid, the soft answer key would be modified accordingly, and all candidates' response sheets would be evaluated using the modified answers.

The result for the UGC NET exam in December 2025 will be made by using the final answer key after the expert scrutiny process is over. The result would not be announced individually to the candidates regarding the acceptance or rejection of the objections raised by them. The final answer key would be considered authoritative after this process.
