The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has made the IIT JAM 2026 response sheet available on its official website — jam2026.iitb.ac.in. Candidates who appeared for the examination can now log in and download their individual response sheets.

Though this is not the final result, the response sheet is an important document. It allows students to review the answers they marked in the exam and estimate their probable scores once the official answer key is released.

What the response sheet includes

The response sheet contains detailed information such as the test paper code, examination code, question IDs, options selected by the candidate and the marking status. With this data, aspirants can compare their responses with the provisional answer key and calculate an approximate score before the final results are declared.

How to download the IIT JAM 2026 response sheet

To access the document, candidates need to:

  1. Visit the official JAM 2026 website (jam2026.iitb.ac.in)
  2. Click on the “JAM 2026 exam responses” tab on the homepage
  3. Log in using their registered email ID and password
  4. Select “Download Response Sheet”
  5. Save a copy for future reference and score estimation

What happens next?

After the release of the response sheet, IIT Bombay is expected to publish the provisional answer key shortly. Candidates will be able to compare both documents and, if required, raise objections within the stipulated time window.

Once the objection process concludes, the final answer key and results will be announced. The IIT JAM 2026 results are expected in March 2026. Successful candidates can then move ahead with admissions to postgraduate programmes such as MSc, MSc-PhD, MSc-MTech dual degrees and other courses offered by IITs and participating institutes.
