The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission has announced the Combined Civil Services (Group 2 and Group 2A) Preliminary Examination results. Candidates who had attended the test can now check their roll number–wise results on the Commission's official website.
The preliminary test was held on October 28, 2025, at various centres in Tamil Nadu state. This recruitment is for filling different Group 2 and Group 2A posts available in the Tamil Nadu State Administration.

Where and how to check the result
Candidates can check their results by visiting the official website of TNPSC and downloading the required PDFs. Links to Group 2 and Group 2A categories have been given separately.

Mains exam timetable
Candidates selected in the preliminary shall then face the mains examination, scheduled to be held in February 2026. The mains examination would be pen-and-paper based and in descriptive mode.
The schedule, according to the commission's notification, is given as follows:
Paper 1 – Tamil Eligibility Test: February 8, 2026
Paper 2 – General Studies: February 22, 2026
Paper 1 is qualifying in nature and Paper 2 will be evaluated for merit ranking.
Mains Examination fee and application process
The candidates who are qualified for the mains shall make payment of ₹150 as mains examination fee using their OTR ID. The window for payment will be opened from December 23 to December 29, 2025, up to 11:59 pm.
Candidates are instructed to make the payment within this period, as no extensions have been provided by the commission.
Upload the Certificate - Paper 1 Exemption
Candidates who have been exempted from appearing in Paper 1 (Tamil Eligibility Test) must upload the relevant exemption certificate on the TNPSC portal. The deadline for certificate submission is December 29, 2025.
In case the required document is not uploaded within the stipulated time, his or her candidature may be treated as cancelled. He or she will not be allowed to appear in the mains examination.
