Dhanush and Kriti Sanon’s Tere Ishk Mein is showing a steady hold at the box office after a mixed but sizeable opening. Meanwhile, the Vijay Varma–Fatima Sana Shaikh starrer Gustaakh Ishq continues to see minimal footfall, struggling to cross even the ₹1-crore mark after two days.
Tere Ishk Mein holds firm on day 2
Tere Ishk Mein collected ₹17 crore on Saturday, following its ₹16 crore opening day, taking the two-day total to ₹33 crore.
Day-2 Hindi occupancy stood at 27.92%, with night shows rising to 43.74%. Chennai recorded the highest turnout at 45.75%.

Trade trackers note that the film is already shaping up to be Dhanush’s strongest Hindi opener of the year, surpassing Kuberaa and Idli Kadaai.
Despite competition, the romantic drama is maintaining solid momentum in metropolitan centres and premium multiplex circuits.
Is Gustaakh Ishq unable to pick up the pace?
The release of Tere Ishk Mein has severely dented Gustaakh Ishq, which debuted with just ₹50 lakh on Friday.
Early estimates show ₹45 lakh on Saturday, taking the two-day total to ₹95 lakh which is still short of the ₹1-crore mark.
Even with positive reviews and encouraging word-of-mouth from niche audiences, occupancy remained low across evening and night shows which is a segment where business typically strengthens.
Produced by Manish Malhotra’s Stage5 Productions, the film remains heavily overshadowed by the star power and draw of Tere Ishk Mein.

Set across Punjab and Old Delhi, Gustaakh Ishq follows a young man who falls for the daughter of his ageing poetry mentor. Their bond deepens through shared verses and unspoken emotions, but misunderstandings steer the lovers toward a painful choice between affection and duty. The film features Naseeruddin Shah and Sharib Hashmi in key roles and is directed by Vibhu Puri.
As the weekend is over, Tere Ishk Mein leads the box-office race comfortably. on the other hand, Gustaakh Ishq will require a drastic shift in audience turnout to make any visible improvement.
