Instagram’s official handle dropped a fun collab reel with Shahid Kapoor on November 29, a quick game of two truths and one lie, centred entirely around the unspoken rules of his home. The reel plays out like a casual mini home tour, with Shahid walking through his space and revealing each “rule” as he goes.
The video opens at the entrance, where he points toward the upper-floor living area. The space features Subodh Kerkar’s artwork, sculptural cane lighting from The Wicker Story, an Arketipo sofa, and a bigger seat from Shivan & Narresh Homes. These sit alongside personal pieces: coffee table books from Mira Rajput’s father and treasures picked up on trips across Europe.
Two truths, one lie
Now, he drops the first “truth”: shoes inside the house are totally okay. He admits he usually keeps his on out of convenience. Ishaan Khatter jumps into the comments to add, “I can confirm I will get nuked if I keep my shoes on in this house.”

The reel then cuts to a ceiling light by Oorjaa, giving him a moment to talk about his non-shoot routine, waking up around 8:30 am, spending time with his kids, grabbing coffee with Mira, catching up with friends, watching films in theatres, checking his phone, scrolling Instagram, and squeezing in pickleball.
Next comes another “truth”: nobody touches the music system. Visitors aren’t allowed to change tracks. Period. The scene moves to the balcony, nearly 500 sq ft, where he sums up his journey in films with one line: “a dream come true.”
The final “rule” is about food. Standing in the boho-style balcony with a city view, Shahid says guests must finish everything on their plate. But soon, the clip reveals the twist, that’s the “lie.”
They serve food, yes, but no one forces clean plates. He calls it the right thing, not a rule. The reel ends with a quick sign-off, wrapping up Instagram’s playful tour through the actor’s home.
On the work front, Shahid gears up to reunite with Vishal Bhardwaj for an action thriller and will make his OTT return with Farzi 2.
