Before the year comes to an end, comedy king Kapil Sharma makes sure you don’t walk into the New Year without a good laugh. Returning to the big screen nearly a decade after his debut, Kapil is back with Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2, and once again being stuck in a plural marriage turns out to be his biggest headache.

After playing a man who tried to find peace by keeping all four of his wives happy with a generous dose of lies, the sequel turns up the confusion and chaos. Unsurprisingly, reactions to the film are just as tangled, with netizens oscillating between laugh-out-loud moments and loud complaints.

Netizens react to Kapil Sharma’s Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2

Some viewers walked out of the theatre laughing out loud. Praising the sequel, one X user wrote, “#KisKiskoPyaarKaroon2: A rare occurrence where the sequel is better than the original. This movie has good comedy, nothing feels forced, and the jokes actually land rather than feel lacklustre. #KapilSharma & #ManjotSingh duo is amazing. It feels natural like the two best.”

And it wasn’t just one viewer who enjoyed the film. Another X user seemed equally impressed, if not more, calling Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 a complete treat to his eyes. The user shared that they found themselves laughing out loud after a long time, staying hooked from the very first scene right up to Ginni Bhabhi’s appearance. The laughs came so relentlessly that they left the theatre with a stomachache.

For another user, the film was “a laugh riot” and “a fun rollercoaster,” keeping them entertained from start to finish. Both viewers praised the on-screen chemistry between Kapil Sharma and Manjot Singh while also applauding Sidhu Paaji’s commentary and Ginni Chhatrath’s cameo, which they found unexpected yet delightful.

And it doesn’t end there. Along with them, many other netizens loved the film, calling it a rare gem, with some even saying the sequel outshone the original. But as they say, the grass is not always greener on the other side. One particularly unimpressed user bluntly stated, “Absolutely terrible! Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2- the story feels forced, the jokes are painfully recycled, and the dialogues are so cringe that even the actors look embarrassed saying them. The performances? No one could save this disaster.”

Another user found the film “crap,” stating, “Sad to see someone like Kapil Sharma struggling to land the punches. It seems like movies aren’t meant for him. You’ll hardly laugh in the film, and don’t even try to find logic, a complete waste of time.”

A few netizens found the movie below the mark, while for some, it had absolutely zero coherent story. Some called the acting mediocre, whereas a few felt their day was made just because of the film. The reviews are as polar as the Antarctic belts of our Earth.

Laughs or letdowns? netizens can’t agree

The film stars Ayesha Khan, Parul Gulati, Tridha Choudhary and Warina Hussain as Kapil Sharma’s many wives, ensuring confusion, chaos and comic misunderstandings at every turn. While some fans believe the sequel improves upon the original, others feel it leans too heavily on outdated humour, with a few calling the familiar trope predictable and repetitive.
