Aryan Khan, son of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, won Best Debutant Director of the Year for his show The Ba***ds of Bollywood, which was recently named IMDb’s Most Popular Indian Series of 2025. While lifting his first-ever trophy as a director, Aryan spoke about his fondness for awards “just like his dad,” but made it clear that the win was dedicated to his mother, Gauri Khan. Aryan Khan’s thank-you note

Aryan shared a heartfelt thank-you note stating, “Good evening, everyone. Firstly, I would like to thank my cast, crew, and Netflix for showing faith in a first-time director and for working wholeheartedly with me. I would also like to congratulate all the winners tonight. This is my first award, and I hope I will be getting many more in the future. I do love awards just like my dad, but this award is not for him. This is for my mom because she keeps asking me to get into bed early, never put anyone down, and never to cuss. Today, I got this because of all that discipline. Thank you for making my mom the happiest woman in the world. I think tonight I will get a little less admonished.”

As Aryan delivered his speech, his grandmother, Savita Chhibber, was spotted visibly emotional in the audience.
