Bangladesh's interim government's Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus and multiple members of the advisory council joined Hadi's final journey that day. Many were present, including Dhaka University's Proctor Associate Professor Saifuddin Ahmad. Jatiya Nagarik Party's Nahid Islam, Hasnat Abdullah, and Nasir Uddin Patwari were present. Jamaat-e-Islami's Amir Shafiqur Rahman and BNP's Salahuddin Ahmad participated in Osman Hadi's funeral. Muhammad Yunus delivered a speech at the funeral ceremony.
Dhaka was wrapped in tight security surrounding Osman Hadi's funeral ceremony that day. A joint force of Bangladesh's army, BGB, and police was responsible for security. National mourning was observed in Bangladesh on this day.
