Veteran screenwriter Salim Khan, who was admitted to a Mumbai hospital on February 17, is now stable and recovering after undergoing a medical procedure, reported Hindustan Times. Actor Daisy Shah has shared a reassuring update, saying the 90-year-old writer is currently under observation but no longer in danger.
The news has brought relief to fans and members of the film industry who had been closely following updates about his health.
Daisy Shah shares update on Salim Khan's condition
Speaking in a recent interaction with Filmygyan, Daisy Shah said she has been regularly in touch with Salman Khan and the family regarding Salim Khan's recovery.

"I couldn't meet Salim sir, but I am constantly in touch with Salman sir and his family. Salim Sir is fine now. He is stable. The surgery went well, it was a success, and he is under observation. But he is out of danger," she was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.
Her statement confirmed that the veteran writer's condition has improved following the surgery.
Doctors reveal details of treatment
Earlier, Dr Jalil Parkar, who is overseeing Salim Khan's treatment, had shared details about his medical condition. He revealed that the writer suffered a minor haemorrhage.
"There was minimal brain haemorrhage. A small procedure was done this morning and it was accomplished. He is fine and stable but is still on a ventilator. By tomorrow, hopefully, we will take him off the ventilator. All in all, he's doing quite well. Keeping his age in mind, the recovery time is longer," the doctor had stated, as reported by HT.
According to the hospital's statement, Salim Khan was brought to Lilavati Hospital's emergency department by the family doctor and later shifted to the ICU for close monitoring. He was admitted at 8.30 am under the care of Dr Jalil D Parkar, Pulmonologist, Department of Chest Medicine.
Several prominent personalities, including Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Ranveer Singh and Javed Akhtar, have visited the hospital in recent days to inquire about his health.

Salim Khan began his career as an actor before finding success as a writer. His collaboration with Javed Akhtar transformed Hindi cinema during the 1970s and 80s. Films such as Zanjeer, Deewar and Don helped establish Amitabh Bachchan's "angry young man" persona.
Even after parting ways with Akhtar, Salim Khan continued to write successful films, including Angaaray (1986), Naam (1986), Kabzaa (1988) and Jurm (1990), leaving a lasting mark on Bollywood's storytelling tradition.
