Comedian and actor Sunil Grover has once again caught viewers by surprise with his ability to slip into the skin of Bollywood’s biggest stars. On the latest episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show, Grover unveiled his take on Aamir Khan — and the resemblance was striking enough to briefly confuse audiences online.
The episode featured Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday, who appeared on the show to promote their upcoming film Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri. Midway through the show, Grover walked in dressed as Aamir Khan, mimicking the actor’s voice, posture and expressions with a remarkable ease.

Grover joked about Aamir Khan’s personal life, cracked lines about multiple marriages and offered tongue-in-cheek relationship advice, being in his character. He also poked fun at the film’s lengthy title, drawing laughter from both the guests and the live audience.
Viewers react to the resemblance
Clips from the episode quickly circulated on social media, where many viewers expressed disbelief at how close the act came to the real actor. One user commented in Hindi that it felt like the “real Aamir” had appeared on the show, while others said Grover’s expressions and delivery were “spot on.” Several comments praised his consistency in staying in character without overdoing the act.
Grover’s Aamir Khan impression adds to a growing list of celebrity portrayals he has delivered this season. He has previously drawn attention for his takes on Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Gulzar and filmmaker S S Rajamouli, each marked by subtle observation rather than caricature.
