Indian Railways to recruit 22,000 Group D staff – Here's who can apply?

The Railway Recruitment Board has announced 22,000 Group D vacancies in Indian Railways. Class 10 pass candidates can apply online from January 21 to February 20.

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has announced job opportunities in Indian Railways, declaring 22,000 vacant positions at once. These recruitments will be for Level 1 (Group D) posts in the railways. The examination for this recruitment will be conducted online.

Who can apply?

According to the railway notification, candidates who have passed Class 10 can apply for this job. Applications can be submitted from January 21 to February 20 for these positions. Applications can be made through RRB's official portal.

Application procedure:

To apply for Group D posts, applicants must be between 18 to 40 years of age. They must have passed Class 10. Those who have ITI certificates will be given preference for certain positions.

The notification states that the information in applicants' Aadhaar cards should exactly match the information in their Class 10 pass certificates. If there is any mismatch in name, date of birth, photograph, and biometric information, the application will be cancelled.

What is the application fee?

Candidates from General category, OBC, EWS category will have to pay Rs 500 to fill up the form. Female candidates and candidates from Scheduled Castes and Tribes will have to pay Rs 250 for form fill-up.

What is the salary?

According to the Seventh Pay Commission, the monthly salary at Level One ranges from Rs 18,000 to Rs 35,000 (depending on the post and workplace).

Selection will be made through Computer Based Test (CBT), Physical Test and medical examination.
