Tamil music director-actor G V Prakash Kumar fell victim to financial fraud while trying to help someone. Posts seeking financial assistance are commonly seen on social media. The artist had extended a helping hand after seeing one such post.
The actor had seen the post on X handle. There, a person had sought financial help for his mother's last rites. After seeing the post, the actor had sent Rs 20,000 through GPay. His friends had discouraged him from giving money to an unknown person. However, it was too late by then.

Many people had praised G V after he gave the money. However, it was later revealed that the person's mother had died in 2022. He does this by showing pictures of his dead mother. He reportedly does this repeatedly, showing the same picture.
Many have asked G V Prakash Kumar to file a complaint with the police. However, reportedly, no complaint has been filed on behalf of G V Prakash Kumar so far. No reaction has been received from the actor regarding this incident yet.
