A shocking case of alleged revenge assault has surfaced from north Delhi’s Wazirabad area, where a 22-year-old man was reportedly drugged and grievously injured by a woman after she discovered that he was already married. Police have registered a case under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and are searching for the accused.

Relationship turns violent after alleged deception

According to the Delhi Police, the injured man, identified as Visarjeet, a resident of Rampur district in Uttar Pradesh, had been in a relationship with Amina Khatoon, a resident of Wazirabad, for the past two years.

Police said the incident came to light on February 25 when information was received from Hindu Rao Hospital regarding the admission of an injured man. Officers reached the hospital, collected his medico-legal certificate and recorded his statement. In his account to the police, Visarjeet alleged that he had arrived in Delhi on February 24 and was staying with Amina. He claimed that during the night, she allegedly mixed an intoxicating substance into milk given to him.

Assault allegedly carried out in a semi-conscious state

The victim further alleged that around 2.30 am, while he was in a semi-conscious condition, the woman attacked him with a sharp-edged weapon, causing grievous injuries to his private parts. Police sources indicated that the accused had recently come to know that Visarjeet was married and had allegedly concealed this fact from her. Despite his injuries, the man reportedly managed to reach Hindu Rao Hospital on his own. He was later referred to Safdarjung Hospital, where he underwent surgery.
