Vijay’s first official Delhi visit as CM
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Wednesday during his first official visit to the capital after assuming office earlier this month.

The meeting took place at the Prime Minister’s residence and marked Vijay’s first formal engagement with the Centre after becoming chief minister. The Prime Minister’s Office shared details of the meeting on X and wrote, “Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thiru @actorvijay met Prime Minister @narendramodi.”

Meetings with Union ministers expected
Apart from meeting Modi, Vijay is also expected to hold discussions with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman during the visit.
The Delhi trip comes weeks after Vijay took oath as Tamil Nadu chief minister following TVK’s strong performance in the Assembly elections. Earlier, Modi had congratulated Vijay after the swearing-in ceremony and assured support from the Centre for the development of Tamil Nadu.
